Jan Nevins left a long career after asking herself if she wanted to get "outside the box" or stay in human resource management the rest of her life.  With encouragement from friends and a strong interest in real estate, she became a licensed Texas Realtor in 2000.  After many years in top managerial positions and as a consultant in human resources for large corporations, Jan's business background of personnel management made it possible to start a real estate practice relating to clients in a professional manner and consulting with them on all of their real estate needs.

"Real estate transactions are probably the most expensive investments many people make in their lives.  As a Realtor, I am dedicated to representing clients by guiding them through the entire complex process, including identifying the properties, handling negotiations and tending to all the miriad of details that make smooth closings," says Nevins, a top-producing sales consultant with Keller Williams The Metropolitan.  The continuing goal in Nevins' real estate practice has been to establish long-term relationships with clients and she does that by giving them outstanding service.

As a third-generation Texan, Jan was born in Houston and, other than 15 years in Atlanta, Georgia and a short stint in the Los Angeles area, she lived most of her life in the Memorial and inner loop areas of Houston.  She attended the University of Houston and the University of Georgia, where she successfully completed advanced courses to obtain her Certificate of Public Management.  She is a member of and actively involved in many civic organizations including the Houston Heights Association, Shady Acres Association, the Woodland Heights Association, the Junior League and several others.
